New reports are showing that iPhone data accounts for half of all cell phone data around the world. This isn't a good thing. Quite simply, cell phones should not be requiring that much data. The BB allows cellphones users to check their email and read the web on the go at a fraction of the data usage. But because the iPhone is more like a computer than a mobile phone, it eats data by downloading the full internet wherever possible--all the advertisements, all the images, everything.
Now I am not complaining about the iPhone per se. I am just saying that this statistic only furthers my point that the iPhone shouldn't be thought of as a phone, but rather as a tablet computer.
