Video Ads set to annoy your iPhone experience

CNet news is reporting that ADMob is readying video advertisements that will play while you surf. The video advertisements are interactive, kind of like those banners you see on the top of some websites that ask you to play an interactive game only to eventually redirect you to some product website. Like on a computer, you will be able to surf and see the webpages you are viewing while being annoyed by the advertisements.

While the annoyance it not unforseen, it is unfair to add this to the user experience without any benefit to consumers. Remember when Google played around with the idea of a free ad supported cell phone plan? Google gives us free services for Ads, I guess the question is, what do we gain from ADMob?
